Friends of the Overton Memorial Library is an organization that fosters contact between the Library and those interested in its collections, history, current activities, and future development.
The Friends’ principal aims are to raise funds for the purchase and conservation of significant additions to the Library’s collections and to increase the impact of the Overton Memorial Library within our community.
Through a broad-based program of services to the Library, the Friends of the Overton Memorial Library:
Sponsors a Gift and Memorials Program that provides the Library purchasing power beyond its university allocations.
Provides equipment and other resources to improve the facility.
Publicizes the Library’s resources and services.
Keeps donors informed of acquisitions and activities through the Friends of the Overton Memorial Library Newsletter.
Sponsors programs for the community such as lectures, literary discussion groups, book sales, and book signings.
Organizes special fundraising events benefiting the library endowments and programs.

What are the Rates for Friends of the Overton Memorial Library Membership?
Memberships, except for the Lifetime Membership, must be renewed annually.
Student Membership $10.00 annually
Contributing Membership $25.00 annually
Family Membership $50.00 annually*
Patron Membership $250.00 annually*
Lifetime Membership $1,000.00*(May be paid in four installments of $250 each)
